The company has a history of overcoming theatrical challenges. Artistic director Alex Moran faced a series of trials when he was invited to perform a one-man show, TALES FROM THE BLACKJACK, in the back room of a pub during Preston’s very first Fringe Festival in 2009. With only a week and a shoe-string budget to develop the show, it went on to be praised by critics and was commissioned by The Lowry, where it won four awards - most notably for Alex: The Buxton Fringe Award for best actor and The
Manchester Evening News Award for best performance in a studio production.
